Kayson Tang

Welcome! I'm Kayson, a recent UC Santa Cruz graduate with four degrees in Business Management Economics, Cognitive Science (AI/HCI), Legal Studies, and Intensive Psychology.

Most of what shaped those four years happened outside the classroom: rebuilding a student government from near-zero membership into an organization managing $100K+ a year, and helping turn a business club down to four board members into one of the most active on campus. What I keep finding I'm good at is walking into something unclear and building the structure that's missing. My favorite part is bringing people together and having something we're working toward.

I'm now back home in the San Gabriel Valley, where I've been getting involved in community organizing and local politics. I recently finished my work with Merrill College and am continuing research with a professor on a forthcoming book about populist economic ideas.

I'm exploring full-time opportunities in public service, partnerships, and organizational operations, while keeping an open mind about where those interests might take me. I'm especially drawn to work where I can learn from the people around me, build relationships, and help ideas become something people can actually benefit from.
